Raypak Named Vendor of the Year

WINDO members recognize company’s superior performance in product quality, customer service and on-time delivery

ATLANTA (OCTOBER 10, 2008) — Raypak, Inc. was recently named 2008 Vendor of the Year by the Wholesale Independent National Distributors Organization (WINDO), a group of 29 independent pool industry distributors with operations throughout the United States and Canada. The award, WINDO’s highest honor for its manufacturer suppliers, was presented at a Vendors’ Appreciation Dinner on September 17 in Greensboro, Ga., during the group’s annual conference. More than 30 pool equipment manufacturers were eligible to win the Vendor of the Year recognition this year. WINDO members evaluated their suppliers on the basis of product quality, customer service and on-time delivery, and then conducted a secret-ballot vote to determine the winner.

“Achieving this award is a high honor for Raypak because we were selected over so many other manufacturers,” says Raypak acting general manager Peter Reynolds, who was on hand to receive the award with national pool sales manager John Kane and Western regional sales manager Tom Grucky. “This award clearly recognizes all the hard work that everyone at Raypak puts forth daily for all of our customers.”

By winning the WINDO award, according to Reynolds, Raypak has “completed the ‘trifecta,’” attaining the pool industry’s top three honors for manufacturers. The other two prestigious awards include the PoolCorp (SCP) Vendor of the Year award and the Independent Distributor Network Vendor of the Year award.
